I can only try

Lord,

I am unable t pray, I am unable to thank, I am unable to believe.

I can only try to show my love to very human being who needs me,

and to seek truth and justice:

This is my prayer.

I can only try to remain close to my brother who other men scorn,

So that I may be scorned along with him:

This is my thanks.

I can only try unwearyingly, continue to look for the soul lost under the wreckage

of what should have been your own image:

This is my faith.

Lord, if you hear me, Give me the strength,

To pray in this way,

To thank in this way,

To believe in this way.
